Lead Pastor
Jamie grew up poor on the west side of Chicago, the kind of neighborhood most people spend their whole lives trying to get out of.
He gave his life to Christ his senior year of high school. And where most people who make it out never look back, Jamie felt God calling him the other way: back toward the same streets he came from.
He spent eight years running a sports ministry to gang members, meeting young men where they were and showing them a way through. He trained at Moody Bible Institute, and was sent out from Armitage Baptist Church to plant a church in Garfield Park called Reborn.
He still pastors that church today, from an old firehouse on Wilcox Street. He and Andrea have raised four sons here. Jamie isn't a pastor who came to Garfield Park for a season. He came home.
